BAND CONCERT
Both our Advanced and Beginning Band will be performing at Lynwood High School on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 @ 5pm in the Lynwood High School Gym on Bullis Rd. We hope to see you there to support our amazing band program.
OFFICE HOURS DURING WINTER BREAK
Please be aware that our offices will be closed during the Winter Break (December 16-January 3). If anything changes, a message will be sent through Parent Square. DRESS CODE
In order to promote a safe learning environment for everyone at our school, we ask that you send your student to school each day in a manner that adheres to the dress code. Please click this link for more information: https://bit.ly/DCR2324
AFTER SCHOOL SAFETY
In order to support a safe school community for everyone, please make sure your student(s) goes directly home or to an agreed safe location after school. We ask that your student(s) do not loiter in the park or any other areas in the city.
STRATEGIC GOALS FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR
As we move forward throughout this current school year, there are several goals that we are focusing on meeting. These numbers were based on our historical data from the past three years. Please review the following:
D/F RATE: This is the percentage of students who have a D or F based on the following reporting periods:

UNIT #2 COMMON ASSESSMENT DATA
Our students recently took the Unit #2 Common Assessments for Algebra I and English Language Arts. The percentages below represent students who met or exceeded the standard during the assessment. Here's how we did compared to last year:
- Algebra I
- 2023-24: 2%
- 2024-25: 29%
- English Language Arts
- ELA 7: 2023-24 - 34%; 2024-25 - 35%
- ELA 8: 2023-24 - 24%; 2024-25 - 31%
- Mathematics 7 and 8
- Math 7: 2023-24 - 22%; 2024-25 - 30%
- Math 8: 2023-24 - 16%; 2024-25 - 14%
As you can see, our students have shown improvement in performance compared to last year. This is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our parents, students and teacher teams. Nice job!!! 🙌
METRO BUS PASSES
We received Metro Bus Passes for all students. They were distributed during PE classes last week. If your student did not receive one, please reach out to Ms. Olga Quirarte in the Counseling Office.
!! ACADEMIC INTERVENTION HAS STARTED !!
If your student is receiving a “D” or “F” in a class make sure they seek extra help to improve their grades through our Academic Intervention program. Click on the link to view the class options and register for the class/classes you need. REGISTRATION LINK
