The Lynwood Unified community is invited to join the grand opening celebration of the Lynwood Alumni Center – which will serve as a dedicated space for networking, mentorship, educational support and collaboration for current students and graduates – at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting with leaders from Lynwood Unified and the Lynwood Partners Educational Foundation (LPEF), live entertainment by the Lynwood High School band, artistic displays showcasing the talents of alumni artists and performers, and catering prepared by Lynwood High School culinary arts students. The Alumni Center is an initiative aimed at creating a strong sense of community among Lynwood alumni and providing invaluable resources and opportunities. Fostered in partnership with the District, LPEF and the Lynwood Alumni Association, the center will offer diverse services and programs, including networking events, college and career support, DACA/Dreamer support, financial literacy workshops, guest speakers and community events.
