Welcome Ms. Perez!!!

Dear Hosler Community,

I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. My name is Kimberly Perez. I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Community Schools Case Manager. It is an absolute privilege to join this school community and have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our students.

I am a second generation Hosler Middle School and Lynwood High School graduate. I have a passion to help others in my community by bringing in community resources to the school to better support our students, families, teachers, and staff.

At Lynwood Unified School District, we are proud to initiate the transformation of our schools into full-service Community Schools. A Community School is any school serving Pre-K through 12th grade students using a “whole-child” approach, with an integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement. As a Community Schools Case Manager, I will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and staff to identify and address any barriers to student success by integrating the four pillars of Community Schools:

  •    Integrated Support Services
  •    Family and Community Engagement
  •    Collaborative Leadership Practices
  •    Extended Learning Opportunities

Thank you for your warm welcome, I am excited to embark on this journey with you all. I look forward to working together to make a positive difference in the lives of our students.

Respectfully,

Kimberly Perez
